Name:  Rob Kelleher

Age:  45

What is your relationship to the BCD?

I work with many companies who own in the district and I’m working with several developers who are interested in development in the BCD.

What’s the one piece of advice you would give the BCD if it were a person?

Be patient, if access and connectivity is provided to BCD, people will come to the BCD.  These people will restore and enhance the unique buildings making them pubs, food cart lots, local eateries, stores, and maker space.  The streets will become active with life and safe once again.  The BCD will become Bend’s Eastside downtown.

What’s your hope for the BCD as it redevelops?

Keep the charm, clean up and redeveloped any filth, make the area clean and friendly for both locals and tourists.  Create an environment where people want to walk the streets and visit the different shops, parks & restaurants.  Create an area where people can live and work.

What’s your fear for the BCD as it redevelops?

I have two fears – 1. Land values too high for redevelopment.  2. Failure of connectivity to downtown.

How would you like to be remembered?

I would like to be remembered as someone who was kind and would always go out of his way to help others and the community.
